Bought my drone in 2019 and life was great. Put it away in early 2020. Now in May 2024 I need to use it for field study, but can't. I have a NEW Sunsung high end phone. The smart controller is v3. It "sees" my drone and moves gamble up & down BUT will NOT take off. Another pain point is this f-ing software cannot "detect" the controller, even though it's plugged in to my phone! Last resort is airplane mode and only connecting to drone wifi (that works) BUT f-ing software does nothing at all.

Had my drone for less than two years, changed phones, they deleted the old app (FreeFlight 3, I think). New app doesn't support my drone. Don't waste your time with Parrot b/c it's only a matter of time (probably less than 3 years) before they shelf your product. Having you use an app is just a way for them to try to get you to upgrade models every few years. (Also, 'connect with google' failed repeatedley without a given reason. Never worked. Garbage app developers)
