Description

This app with simple aesthetics allows you to keep abreast of asteroids more commonly known as "NEO" (Near Earth Object) approaching Earth. Access daily and weekly information on the spatial activity of objects around our planet Earth. Developed around the NASA API, you will have live access to approach and object orbital data from the Sentry surveillance system.

HowTo

Once you've passed the beautiful Splash Screen, the app opens and you can start accessing information without further interaction. As a home page, a listing of the latest CNEOS news. Then the objects are presented by date of appearance: Those of the day and of the week. You can also access the Sentry Watchlist, listing items that may pose a potential threat to planet Earth. The data is taken directly from NASA, when you click on an object, the approach and orbital data of the latter will be presented to you. If you want more information about an object, direct links to the NASA site are also present.
Don't worry a daily and weekly notification will remind you of approaching items 😉

FAQ

How to use the application NEO - Asteroid Tracker ?

Download the application, install there, a magnificent Splash Screen appears just before opening the application. You can then access daily, weekly and Sentry Watchlist news without signing up.

Are there really a lot of items?

You will see ! 😉 More seriously, about ten asteroids of different sizes on average approach Earth every day.

Sentry list, kesako?

The Sentry Watchlist lists all objects that may pose a threat to Earth. It is updated automatically by the system.

Some information is not displayed correctly?

This is very rare, but it can happen that the data is missing from the NASA side. We are talking about celestial objects, the detection systems are not perfect, and neither is this application. Do not hesitate to report it to us so that we make corrections as long as it is possible on our side!

I really don't understand all these units of measure ... Help?

At the top right, a help menu will explain each unit in detail to make it easier for you to understand the data in the application.

Why is a network connection required?

The application is developed around the NASA API, network access to retrieve data is therefore necessary.

Will I receive a lot of notifications?

No, potentially a daily to inform you of the items of the day, and a weekly to inform you of the items of the week.

Do I have to pay something? Register?

No, this application is 100% free. No registration either, it's tiring! On the other hand, some advertising banners may appear at the bottom of the application to cover certain costs related to maintaining the application. Hopefully they aren't too intrusive.

Good app for people who want to know how many asteroids are orbital with earth and are getting ready to cause destruction to earth, hopefully more large asteroids fly around in direction with earth. It allows people to know of asteroids before NASA find out, I find that amazing, thank you to the developers for making it only available for android. #Privileged

To the poster that suggested a game with asteroids.... Please ask a grandparent, parent or aunt or uncle to let you play their Atari 2600. The original one! It was one of the first video games brought into people's homes via a gaming system. LOL!

Hi thanks for trying the app and your feedback. It is noted I will try to add some filters in the main page and find a better compact way to display informations into the card for the next release. Hope you will enjoy future release.
