About this app

barValid is an app with the aim of scanning and checking barcodes (even QR Code and DataMatrix) or to send the barcode to your PC. The barcodes can not only be tested for conformity according to GS1 standards (correct field lengths, etc.), but
you can even set up your own specific specifications (for example AI01-GTIN must be included).

The result can be enriched with additional Information (like photos) and saved as PDF on the smartphone or shared via social networks.

Decodes my binary QR correctly, but erroneously assumes that they are incorrectly structured. Saving a PDF with a character representation of a binary file is useless to me, I need to save the binary stream directly to a file. Sending the QR codes to the dedicated Windows server works well for text but saves blank files with binary data.

Attempting to create an account it just spins on the loading screen with no activity. This was the first product I found that actually scans (properly) the codes I need scanned and put in a spreadsheet, but can't do so without being able to register and use the sat portion of the app.

barValid is more exacting on the GS1-128 standard than others I have used. I find this application helpful because it tells us when something is wrong. When I had difficulty understanding the program results, I was able to get help by email.

What's new

With this version of barValid we update the GS1 digitalLink functionality to meet the new specification and we implement some additional application identifier (like AI 235 and others)
