The Red Umbrella Sexual Health and Human Rights Association aims to raise the issues of sexual health and human rights of sex workers, who are among the vulnerable and disadvantaged social groups in Turkey, to develop solutions to these problems and to discuss gender equality, access to justice, and social policies before the authorities. It develops projects with the aim of advocating for the improvement of public health, combating discrimination and hate crimes, and other similar issues.

Red Umbrella aims to strengthen the capacity of sex workers of all identities and statuses against all kinds of exclusion and violation of rights, to enable sex workers to access all kinds of information and services they need, like other citizens, to raise awareness of relevant stakeholder groups and to increase the institutional and social protection of sex workers. It has the mission of realizing legal and policy-based reforms.
