The EDF app isn't very user-friendly. Their updates prevent passwords from working, so you have to reset it each time.. You can't set up a Direct Debit, or change from the deemed tariff. You can fill in all the required information, after which, it tells you that it has been unable to complete the request and to try again later. It won't save details to make manual payments simpler. The only thing that does seem to work well in the meter reading input.

Useless as a tool for monitoring balance, can be up to a day out of sync. Also if it weren't for Google pay, the recent update would have taken the payments from almost instant (saved credentials) to having to enter all bank details manually per payment. a complete step backwards. Gets 2 stars only because it prevents users having to physically go to the shop to top up. Would be better to remove most of the broken features than trying to maintain them, just to save UI space.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm really sorry to hear you're having trouble viewing your balance in the app. If you have a PAYG meter, the balance will be refreshed every 6 hours or immediately following a top up. We're currently exploring the option to add saved cards to our new app so watch this space! Thanks

since the app has been updated it no longer shows you real time credit, sometimes it takes a day or more to show you the actual credit on your meter, which is no good if you are not at home for a few days and want to keep an eye on your credit. Also when you top up you used to get the long code immediately and now it comes in an email which can take a while to get through. Not liking the updated app from the previous one.
