Redownloads this game after a 10 year hiatus as I'd forgotten it existed. I use to love this game but it seems like they added to much. I don't need to build a town and why is there a PvP when there's never anyone there? I also get a "Secret Location" in EVERY. SINGLE. TREASURE CHEST! I'd like coins on occasion, not a map every time. Base game is still good enough I'll still play the main Islands but all the extra fluff I'll leave where it lies.

This game is super fun! The game does indeed progress super slow and it takes a while to get a lot of coins. The Village is nice, but it also takes a long time to build and you don't get a good return at all. The game can really use some upgrades regarding the prices of upgrades as well as the production of coins from the Village. The BIGGEST upgrade would be TOUCH CONTROLS!!! I absolutely hate having to be upright to play the game! All of this would definitely make a 5 star game.

Ok, who keeps throwing that dynamite? Game is great but it feels grindy to start with - like you feel stuck on progression and I'm sure that's enough to drive away many players unless they spend a bit. Also you get a lot more enjoyment out of it once you realize the hitboxes of the fish are usually near their mouth areas only so your hook actually has a lot more room than it seems to maneuver. At the beginning it felt claustrophobic and impossible to avoid until I realized this.
