A fun little text-based adventure. Overall a very impressive, fun experience, with just a few flaws: More variety in encounters could go a long way. You'll see most of the different encounters within a few hours. The RNG could use some weighting as the game goes on - it sucks to have almost all your scanners upgraded but be greeted by a selection of barren systems late-game. Why would a heavily injured explorer still go out as part of a shore party? Overall, it's good. Try it out.

Update: I've replayed this a couple times & found my subsequent explorations more challenging. Fun game. Wayyy too short. I cleared this game on my first go with little effort. Maybe a couple hours of gameplay? Wish this game was longer, or possibly just more challenging. The dialogue does get repetitive, but I found some joy in the attachments I made to some of my crew. Was it worth the price? Probably.

Honestly, my favorite aspect was the storytelling and the alien civilizations. The random encounters/ events started to get repetitive as people have said, but I didn't mind so much, just sped through all the things I've seen before to get to the things I haven't seen. But the civilizations were the thing I took pleasure in most. Lots of variation and a sense of discovery each time you came upon a long extinct race or a civilization on its way out. I was glad for endless mode to discover more.
