About this app

The Miter Angle calculator provides exact angles for cutting cross braces for gates or x bracing for the ends of tables. There are 5 board orientation options to choose from. Just enter the width and height of the opening as well as the width of the boards to be used.

Both Imperial and Metric measurements are supported. Each board end as well as the intersection of boards in the middle are displayed with the angles for each, based on data input. In addition, the length of the board required to fit the desired space (pre-cuts) is given.

A visual representative image of the cross braces displays upon calculation showing exact miter angles and position of angles. Miter Angle takes the guesswork out of miter cuts allowing you to achieve that perfect fit with cross or x end braces.

Nearly worthless. Seemed to get the angles right, but not the length. Tried it multiple times and it never did work right.

Am I the only one who has to swap the opening width and height to get it to calculate correctly?

Almost great! If the goal of the app is simplicity, it would be nice to be able to type the length in just inches. ex. 20.4 inches instead of having to use feet+inches+1/8ths. Will update review to 5 stars if this gets fixed in an update
