About this app

X-ING is an automated travel survey that is used by transportation and urban planning agencies to understand human mobility patterns and to enable them to make better informed decisions to improve the transportation systems and networks that you use every day. Your participation helps ensure that your mobility needs are represented. You’ll see a detailed daily travel and activity timeline that you can edit and a summary of your mobility and activity patterns. All collected information is used for research and planning purposes only.

We have developed our app to minimize battery consumption, but please keep in mind that continued use of GPS running in the background can decrease battery life more than usual.

Ratings and reviews

This app is trully awful. It doesn't track your trips properly at all. Adds random times when it thinks you are traveling and editing trips is a pain and usually doesn't actually clear up problems, just creates new random events in the travel log that also need to be cleared up. This app is a waste of time making the survey it's used for a waste of time.

The app doesn't accurately track you. trying to manually enter your information is not easy and I still have not gotten the $20. Horable app!

This app is dreadful. My two daughters tried over and over to download the app,& it wouldn’t. Felt frustrated, spending lots of time on nothing! My husband & I both downloaded the app & used it for 24 hours, & it ran our phone batteries to 8% by lunchtime. We both realized this app would not work for us. As we live busy schedules, this app requires you to check in at every stop & label the check-in. This app calls for too much time & effort from the user. App is not practical for my household.
