This is the Original Slow Jam created by Kevin “Slow Jammin” James in 1983 at WKYS Radio in Washington, D.C. and now heard ion Snoop Dogg’s Cadillacc Music on Dash Radio. The music is mostly R&B but open to all Genres. If it’s Slow it’s a Go. Definitely not cookie cutter music.

I first learned of Kevin "Slow Jammin" James when he had his show on 92.3 the beat in LA. It was somewhere around '92 or '93 when I heard him play Prince's Pink Cashmere and Adore back to back on the radio. No one played any Prince except Purple Rain at that time. The more I listened, I recognized some of my mama's favorites and discovered my own new old favorites. Thank you Kevin for feeding my soul with good music. 💜

The classics are always played and some songs that I have never heard...who best to introduce us to them other than Kevin James. He was my favorite radio personality from WHUR-FM and I recall that I stopped listening soon after he left. I'm glad he has been returned to my life 😇
