About this app

The Safe-Xtract Vehicle Recovery Application takes the guesswork out of the synthetic rope-based vehicle recovery process.

Is your vehicle or someone else’s vehicle stuck?
This app will ask for a few data inputs such as vehicle weight, gradient, ground condition, stuck wheels, and winch capacity - and then provide you with the Total Resistance (or Load) required in order to Xtract the stuck vehicle using either self-recovery and/or assisted recovery methods.

The App provides a wealth of other information including Total Resistance-based rigging recommendations.

No winch? No problem!
The App also recommends “Traction Xtraction” and “Momentum Xtraction” options when available, including an estimated maximum speed for successful use of a Kinetic Energy Recovery Rope in a Momentum Xtraction.

Detailed diagrams of all the standard vehicle recovery configurations are provided, as well as helpful instructional videos to guide you through the fundamentals of each recovery configuration.

There is also a Learning Center filled with helpful safety information and tutorials that detail proper hand signals, how to perform a stuck assessment, and much, much more.

This app is compatible with all Safe-Xtract Vehicle Recovery Kits.

This is a wonderful app for anyone passionate about vehicle recovery. It contains a wealth of info concerning the various aspects and methods of recovering stuck vehicles. Being able to play with various scenarios and seeing what the resulting resistance would be along with how much winch power is needed from various winch sizes is invaluable. So far I have not encountered any problem within the app itself.

Excellent tool for the trails! Well thought out and designed. Glad to have the wisdom of the recovery experts with me on the trail! This does all the math for you, gives you great recommendations and some important reminders. Great for anyone hitting the trails to practice safe vehicle recovery.

This app makes vehicle stuck assessments a breeze as well as offering tutorials on many rigging scenarios. You won't find better value in any app!
