I don’t think the Explorers Pass model is bad, necessarily, like many of the reviewers, though I do prefer the option to just buy an app outright, up front. It’s just less to keep track of. However only a few of the Tinybop apps available on iOS are on Android—maybe the Pass would be a better deal if all the apps were available. But the unavailability of so many of these apps on Android under any business model led me to just replacing my kid’s Android tablet with an iPad.

Thank you for the feedback. We're offering a subscription because it's a better deal on our apps than if you purchase them individually. We are hoping to release more of our apps on Google Play in the future! All that said, your response has been noted. If you have any other feedback, please reach out to support@tinybop.com

I really liked this app when I was a kid, but when i finally found it and redownloaded it you expect me to give you money? You can't even play the game without coughing up some money. Sure you get a 7-day free trial, but after that you have to pay! It used to all be free and it was a really fun way to learn when i was small. I wish it stayed that way. It sucks that you can't do anything without paying for it. I have to be honest, I'm disappointed.

Our apps cost money because we’re a small company, don’t have any third-party ads, or require in-app purchases to keep playing. So, we probably won’t be able to offer our apps for free in the near future. But, thank you for your feedback—your response has been noted.

In 2015, I was using this app to teach parents and children in indigenous parts of the Philippines about their health & body. Going back, the children loved the app because it was colorful and inviting. Unfortunatly, now less people get to learn from the app because it is no longer free. I would advice that the app creators partner with organizations to make this more accessible to people. It is such a loss for a great app.
