The Episcopal Church is a Protestant Church, part of the Anglican Communion, the congregation of Anglican and Episcopal churches with more than 80 million members in more than 160 countries.

The Episcopal Church has members in the United States and the territory of Puerto Rico; and also in Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Venezuela, Curacao, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Haiti, Honduras, Micronesia, Taiwan, and the Virgin Islands.

The Episcopal Church was organized after the American revolution when it became separate from the Church of England. After the independence, the Anglican clergy in America refuse to swear allegiance to the King of England. As a result, the Episcopal Church was created.

Episcopalians believe in Jesus Christ and the Father, Son and Holy spirit. Besides the Holy Bible, Anglicans and Episcopalians use the Book of Common Prayer for liturgical service.

The Episcopal Church has authorized different translations of the Bible: King James, American Standard Revision, New American Bible, Revised Standard Version.

American Standard Revision is a Protestant Bible that comprises 39 books of the Old Testament (according to the Jewish Hebrew Bible canon): Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings , 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations , Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi.
