In this app you will find useful information for pregnant women and their families.
You will know a little more about the changes of pregnancy, the care of pregnant women and newborns, the rights of pregnant women, prenatal controls, the warning signs of pregnancy, childbirth, the puerperium and the newborn, breastfeeding, nutrition data and exercises for this stage, postpartum family planning, the role of the accompanying person and the couple's prenatal care.
In addition, it refers to the main recommended measures for the prevention of Zika and COVID-19.
The content of the APP is that of My Prenatal Control Book, 3rd edition, developed and updated in 2021 by the technical team of the Directorate of Sexual and Reproductive Health of the Ministry of Public Health and Welfare of Paraguay, based on the evidence and to current national health standards. The book was validated by experts in gynecology-obstetrics, pediatrics, nutrition and mental health in the country.
It has a tab where you can take notes, about doubts or queries that you want to ask the health professional who attends the pregnancy.
This app is developed within the framework of the project Prevention of adolescent pregnancy and sexual abuse / violence from an intersectoral approach, co-financed by the Government of India and the UN Population Fund, in order to contribute to access to information for the achievement of safe and inclusive maternity and paternity care.
It is a tool that supports the actions of the health sector in the care of maternal and newborn health, but it does not replace prenatal controls. It is still essential that every woman and her partner attend prenatal check-ups from the first trimester of pregnancy and as indicated by the treating professional.
