About this app

The COMMIT project aimed to strengthen the territorial system for the labor inclusion of migrants through:

a) the qualification of career guidance services;

b) the consolidation of the collaboration between public, private, social and entrepreneurial actors. The backbone of the project was the enhancement of the skills of foreign citizens in relation to the needs of the local productive fabric by enhancing the contribution of all the actors in the employment chain starting with the Employment Centers (hereinafter CPI).

Therefore, it was foreseen:

to make the activity of the CPIs more effective by supporting the transparency of skills for this user target;
to consolidate collaboration with the reception system thanks to dedicated empowerment activities;
to implement an integrated governance model by strengthening linguistic mediation services and the network of access points for integrated care;
to involve the local entrepreneurial fabric through pilot projects at the local level.
To do this, the project acted on two levels: systemic actions on the network of existing services and local experimentation of innovative action models. The actions aimed at responding to the manpower needs of the business system, at supporting the emancipation of recipients from the reception system and at strengthening the network of local actors in favor of job inclusion with benefits for the entire labor market.

The title of the COMMIT project, COmpetenze – MIgranti – In – Toscana, is an acronym that recalls the set of the following elements: the enhancement of the skills of migrants in our region but also the "commitment", the commitment and wants to activate at the various actors in the job chain.
