This app is AWESOME. Exactly what I was looking for however THE SOUND ALERT NEEDS TO BE MUCH LOUDER. It should work like the alarm clock apps where the alarm is sound even if you have everything on mute. It hasnt been updated in over a year so its hard to know the issue I have with the speed limit sometimes not showing is because of the default provider or if its the app itself. I think its because the default provider, OSM, is no longer updating its data. I would like to pay for one of the other two but I need to know which is better if someone could please let me know or if the developer could add an in-app recommendation. I'll gladly update to 5 stars if the app sees an update that improves it NOT MAKE IT WORSE which happens with a lot of app updates.

Very nice integration with Google Maps/OpenStreetMap database. Checked Vraptor against a TomTom on a recent trip mostly on interstates/major highways-the two closely matched the entire trip. I figure Vraptor is not responsible for OSM's d-base, but found it adequate for my needs and was impressed that two options were offered if I needed better coverage. One issue was false alerts when the GPS speed momentarily spiked. A minimum time above threshold (3 secs? 5 secs?) could help false alerts.

Hi, the app currently directly uses GPS speed as reported by the device, but doing some filtering may be a good idea. Thanks for your suggestion! -Daniel

I love the idea of this app and it has been helpful most of the time for alerting me when going over the speed limit. However, There are a lot of places along my route where the speed limit is wrong. I realised this is an issue with the place they are getting their data But my main reason for getting the app is the fact that on this highway there are several small towns with multiple speed limit changes their main source of income is giving people tickets. Defeats the purpose.
