Testing a number entered insurance (pension / social security number), short VSNR, for plausibility.
The following components of the VSNR be checked:
- Length of VSNR
- Structure of VSNR
- area number
- encoded birth
- initial of birth name
- Serial number
- check digit

Activatable Advanced ID check. Here, special regulations (acc. Circular "Common reporting procedures" from 15.07.1998 i.d. amended on 06.25.2015) shall wherein the encoded birthday and birth month may be "00" and or the birthday can be increased by 32 several times in case of overflow of the serial number.

Random generation of valid VSNR for testing purposes.

Detailed examination (digit by digit) and extracting the encoded information contained in the VSNR:
Area number and associated Rentenanstalt.
- Date of birth
- Gender


Detailed derivation of the check digit "number → factor → → partial product-sum → Modulo 10th


Note: Proven or generated VSNR are factually correct (for example, area number, check digit). A check whether a VSNR exists and has been awarded by the German Pension Fund does not take place.
