Über diese App

An ASL & English storybook app for young deaf readers!

From the same team who made the award-winning ASL/English bilingual storybook app, The Baobab, we bring you The Blue Lobster! The adventures of the curious little girl continues! In this storybook designed for younger and emerging readers, ages 3 & up, the curious little girl goes off in search for a rare blue lobster!

This storybook app contains rich ASL storytelling, original and beautiful watercolor illustrations, and a large vocabulary collection of fingerspelled and signed words. Every page contains a sentence video in ASL and English text.

The Blue Lobster is a story that introduces your child to marine life, with different animals, and colors. The emphasis is on finding a blue lobster, and young readers will be able to predict what is a blue lobster, and what is not.

This storybook app also contains bonus pages of questions - we encourage parents to use those pages to encourage reading comprehension. Most importantly, have fun! Start reading, and learning!

VL2 Storybook Apps are designed based on research in visual learning and language acquisition for an optimal reading experience.
