Application "Space Weather" is a good, easily accessible way to find out the current condition of the Earth's magnetosphere, the level of activity of the Sun, the flow of the solar wind, as well as a forecast for the next three days about the geomagnetic condition and possible geomagnetic storms.Also is the map of aurora forecast and geoelectric field map USA.
Information in the "Space Weather" application is provided in the form of a NOAA-scale of the current state of space weather and weather forecast for the next three days, as well as in the form of four graphs, each of which has a color indicator of the threat level from green (minimum) to red (maximum) on the right side:
planetary K-index graph,
X-ray graph of the sun,
graph of the state of the earth's magnetic field,
proton flux graph.
The NOAA-scale has six values for the safety level of the geomagnetic state: "None", "Minor", "Moderate", "Strong", "Severe", "Extreme". Each level has its own characteristic color: from green to red.
These graphs show space weather conditions for the last 24 hours and are updated every hour. Application time is Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
The K-index characterizes geomagnetic activity and indicates the level of geomagnetic storms. It represents the deviation of the Earth's magnetic field from the norm and takes values from 0 to maximum 9.
The X-ray graph of the sun with a wavelength of 0.1–0.8nm shows the solar activity and the level of danger.
The graph of the state of the earth's magnetic field shows the level of change depending on solar activity.
