About MSRTC - The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation abbreviated as (MSRTC, or simply ST), is the state-run bus service of Maharashtra, India which serves routes to towns and cities within Maharashtra as well as to its adjoining states.
About This App - This application is for passengers of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC). This application helps passengers/commuters to facilitate with MSRTC bus information. It shows your position on the map (if your phone GPS is on) and nearby bus stops, otherwise you have to choose a stop. Once it detects your position or stop chosen by you, it shows all running buses nearby that location on the map. In order to get details of any of the visible buses, tap on the bus icon on the map. It will show Route, Bus Number and current location at the bottom panel of the screen.
Bus Stand Near Me – This feature has been provided to enable the users/commuters search nearby bus stands from their current location based on the geo-location. Along with these all-nearby buses which are running on the scheduled assignments are also shown so that commuter can decide which is near by bus he/she can board matching their journey plan.
Track Your Bus – This feature helps commuters/passengers in tracking the running MSRTC bus on designated route, simply enter the bus number provided on the booked ticket and click on “Bus On Map” button, the current location of the running bus will be shown on the live map with its route information, furthermore this can be share with your friends/relatives to track down your journey
PIS - Mobile version of PIS (Passenger Information System) where the ETA (Expected Time of Arrival) & STD (Scheduled Time of Departure) is shown for the buses either leaving that bus station/stand or coming to that specific bus station/stand.
Search Stoppage – This feature allows the users to enter the Bus Stand/Stop name and see nearby buses on that specific location.
Route Search – Users can search buses running on specific route between two stops based on the bus service type, say for example if someone wants to know the Shivneri Bus schedule running between Dadar and Swargate they can search it on the mobile app after entering the source and destination.
Trip Planner - One can search bus or combination of buses to go from one place to another place. Along with this one comes to know how long this journey takes, what would be the distance between these two places. In order to use the trip plan functionality, go to trip plan menu, provide source and destination stops. Select direct journey or one hop journey and hit trip plans button at bottom of the screen.
Emergency – this section is provided for SOS considering the safety of the women passengers in mind with multiple options like in case of help/support required by a women passenger for any mis-happening, in case of bus break down, in case of medical assistance is required or to report an accident, simple chose the option provided on the mobile app.
