Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits. It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory. 25 years ago, Saddleback Church launched Celebrate Recovery with 43 people. It was designed as a program to help those struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process. Celebrate Recovery has helped more than 17000 people at Saddleback, attracting over 70% of its members from outside the church. Eighty-five percent of the people who go through the program stay with the church and nearly half serve as church volunteers.

A very good group to join once a week if you're on a healing journey.

Does just what it is supposed to do. Give support from a Biblical perspective. A person complained about the fact that it is biblical based and uses Jesus as the higher power. But that is what CR is. It was never meant to be secular.It picks up where other programs fail to go and gives us a way to to get help and find support for any kind of addiction and work through our our problems utilizing our faith as another resource rather then having to keep it hidden , for fear of chastisment.. This app is a great help. If you are uncomfortable with that then maybe it is not for you. So do not use it. The app is very useful and really helps tie in with the program. As far as the 12 steps and principles , they always were somewhat biblically based. This takes it back to that. I highly recommend this app as a tie in to the program. It does not hurt to get the CR bible and book as well to further learn what Jesus and God have in store for you and how you can find solace in and through them.
