Requirements

NOW is compatible with Android phones and tablets that are running Android 5 (Lollipop) or later.

NOW is also available on Sony BRAVIA TVs from 2016 onwards, running Android 8 (Oreo) & 9 (Pie).

Note: NOW / Sky UK does not support video playback on rooted Android devices. This is because if a device is identified as being ‘rooted’, we can’t guarantee to our content partners’ satisfaction that the programmes, shows and movies can be protected from copying or illegal distribution.

With rooted devices, the user gets complete control over the Android operating system files and configuration. Some devices may be identified as ‘rooted’ if the manufacturer has enabled root access by default.

Lots of things not to like. It refuses to remember my password on PC. It won't work on a Chromebook. The choice of stuff to watch is very poor. The screen is full of trailers and 'coming soon', and movies that require a separate subscription. If you pay the full price, it's expensive, even with the option that shows ads.

Overall, NOW has some good programmes and films. The main thing I dislike is the way it only features some episodes of older programmes. I get invested in rewatching some classic series like the Royle Family only to discover whole seasons missing. It's disappointing. Also, it works out expensive if more than one person in the household wants to use it and there's no way of creating individual accounts.

Great selection of movies/TV ......... it's a bit pricey when you have Boost (but I think you definitely need it) ....... if they brought down the price even slightly, and included Boost as standard, then I'd probably give it 5 stars.
