Want to measure sound level? This is smart sound level meter app for Android!
Our decibel meter uses your built-in microphone to measure sound volume in decibels (dB) and also displays samples on helpful graph.

NOTE: Microphones in most devices are aligned to human voice and the maximum values are limited by the hardware. Very loud sounds (~90 dB and more) may not be recognized. Automatic gain control used in some devices may interfere with the operation of this noise meter.

While the sound meter itself seems to work OK (I have no way to determine its accuracy) the ads are too frequent and intrusive, so I wound up uninstalling the app within a couple of minutes of using it. Some ads even have video with audio that suddenly appear and can't be paused. Other ads make it very diffcult to close the app. I don't understand how it has such a high rating. It's absolutely unusable for my needs.

On the free version there are ads every 30 seconds, and it makes the app unusable. Any 'free' app that tries to annoy me into paying for it with ads gets a poor review. Just have me watch a couple ads when I open it, or maybe once every 3 or 4 minutes, fine. But every 30 seconds is ridiculous.

First time using it in several months. I open it, and within the first 30 seconds, I see a full-screen ad. Other than that, it seems to work fine. Edit: Only not giving it 1 star only because it does seem to be the most accurate. However, I'm not going to turn on personal advertising, nor am I going to pay to remove ads, so 2 stars. I will likely use another app moving on.
