I paid money for some upgrade capabilities. Upgraded some stuff. Beat the first section with 3 stars for all. Got to second section and what would you know, your upgrades don't transfer and to top if off... you don't have any resources to upgrade cuz you already spent them all. This game absolutely rigged to continue buying upgrade resources. So 1 star. Especially when it's still plagued with ads. Don't waste your time.

Constantly resource starved, in and out of match. Cannot power things up enough to deal enough damage and very unforgiving. If you place the wrong kind of unit early in the match, you WILL NOT progress. And then you will be punished with a video. You can supposedly take down aspects of the environment to get more resources, but they give scraps and block a large chunk of the map to where you have to fight through them just to place turrets to hope to fight off what is currentlyhitting your base.

This is a great minimalist pick-up & play TD game that serves a strategic challenge where you are required to be creative and explore a variety of approaches to succeed. . . until you get toward the end of second season: From then on, unless you want to painstakingly replay the same levels repeatedly, the only way to make enough currency for the upgrades you'll need is to make irl purchases. If it weren't for this, I'd give it a solid 4 stars. As it stands, I give 2.5/5.
