About this app

Open Camera has the following features:
* Option to auto-level so your pictures are perfectly level no matter what.
* Expose your camera's functionality: support for scene modes, color effects, white balance, ISO, exposure compensation/lock, selfie with "screen flash", HD video and more.
* Handy remote controls: timer (with optional voice countdown), auto-repeat mode (with configurable delay), Bluetooth LE remote control (for specifically supported smartphone housing).
* Option to take photo remotely by making a noise.
* Configurable volume keys and user interface.
* Upside-down preview option for use with attachable lenses.
* Overlay a choice of grids and crop guides.
* Optional GPS location tagging (geotagging) of photos and videos; for photos this includes compass direction (GPSImgDirection, GPSImgDirectionRef).

Note that it's not possible for me to test Open Camera on every Android device out there, so please test before using Open Camera to photo/video your wedding etc :)

I mean it's alr but the max exposure is only 0.5 seconds and I can't manually change the aperture. I have a Samsung s26 ultra and can do 30 second exposures on my normal camera app. why doesn't this one go above 0.5? besides that it's a bit difficult but once you get used to it and learn then it's better. pls just add the option to manually control aperture and add a higher exposure option please. oh and if you could add an option for photo stacking and stuff because I use this for astrophotos.

Just did a series of tests comparing the results of Open Camera against other mobile phone camera apps. Used the same mobile phone, fixed to a tripod and all photos were taken with the same settings, in the same environment, all within 20 seconds of each other. And guess what? Open Camera actually gave the best results! Clarity, light balance and ease of use left the others in a poor light! Just goes to show: you don't need an app with a thousand bells 'n whistles to get a good result!

The app was going OK 👍 from the beginning. Then, 2 months later, photo 📸 capture started to freeze and delays, taking pictures 📸 and videos. What's causing this "DEVELOPER" ? 🤔 I think I figured out the issue. I had too many pictures and videos in one folder. 📂 That caused the Open Camera 📷 to freeze and delay taking photos 📸 and videos.📹 Now that I spread them in different folders, it took the weight off tha folder. 📂 it's all good now. I'm giving it 5 stars. 🌟

What’s new

New optional on-screen icons for locking orientation to portrait/landscape, and preview shots. Grids now rotate when auto-level is enabled. Exif tags now supported for WebP and PNG image formats. Panorama photos now store XMP metadata to mark these as panorama images (JPEG formats only).

Photos no longer save on UI thread when using "Pause after taking photo" option.

Various other improvements and bug fixes.
