Loved this app until recent updates. I don't know what's causing it, but it'll just seize up in the middle of a lesson, acting like it's loading something (spinning circle) but nothing ever happens. I can't use the back button. I end up just closing the app entirely, trying again, and being foiled AGAIN. It's so frustrating.

I really like the app, but they really don't communicate what comes with the free version and what's behind the paywall, and unfortunately, only the first 3 lessons seem to be in the free version. So even if you just do one small lesson a day, you reach the pay wall very quickly. And for people like me who have been using Duolingo for free for years now and who don't have enough resources to pay for such an app, this one is no use tbh.

it gives you real situations to which you can follow along and understand the words it teaches you. IT has a very good, AI assistant that you can ask questions about the meaning of words, comparison between that word and others and it gives you really good answers. it's a fantastic feature. I like that it has content from anime, movies, dramas etc so it's real world exposure to greatly help you grasp the meaning of each word. it's a fantastic learning app if you're learning Japanese.
