Ratings and reviews

I'm both a reader and a writer on Episode, and both experiences have kept me up late into the night more than once! I'm not too bothered by the small amount of passes users are granted, when mine run out I take a break from the app. The reason I gave 4 stars is because it takes a long time (or a lot of gems) to unlock the full version, which is where the stories that don't use gems are. I feel the trial period can be discouraging for new readers, and then they miss out on a lot of great stories.

I used to play this a lot, so I downloaded it again, only to be disappointed. You cant play the stories anymore without spending 20+ diamonds per chapter. Its turned into a pay to win game. you cant make decent choices anymore, therefore you're not able to play the way you want to play. it's not a choice based game anymore unless you're willing to spend $10+ on each chapter. you also should be able to wear outfits that you're given, without having to pay for them. it defeats the whole point.

Used to LOVE this app. However, I can't "Choose My* Story" because the choices that I would do are too expensive and cost more gems than I earn for most of the recommended episodes. Creating a story on my phone was so much simpler, now it seems I have to understand coding in order to create the fantasy which takes the fun out of it. Have to dig to find stories now. If I wanted to watch a fantasy play out - without choosing my path - I'd rather watch a movie.
