About this app

HamStudy is not your typical study app. Most study apps focus on practice exams, which is like studying for your math test by trying 20% of the questions on repeat. Study smarter with HamStudy.

Instead of taking practice tests with random questions over and over, our intelligent Study Mode tracks your progress as you move through the questions—what you’ve seen, what you haven’t, and where you’re struggling—and focuses your study on the questions you need to see most. Full statistics are provided along the way, giving you insight into how many times you’ve gotten a question right or wrong as well as your overall study progress. Don’t worry, you can still take practice exams whenever you want.

You won’t find a better tool to use alongside your favorite learning material. Through collaboration with some of the most recognized names in amateur radio, HamStudy allows you to simply choose from a selection of license manuals, then instantly adapts so you can match your study to the chapters, topics, and sections you’re used to†. Want to study just the questions from chapters 4 and 5? No problem. And when a question trips you up, just tap the Explain button to understand what you missed, review formulas, and read helpful study tips.

EDIT: Developers have gotten back to me about the issue and they have fixed it with verison 2.0. When it's working I'm quite happy with the app. I do recommend it for studying for your exams. Works for one login before it stops being functional at all when you reopen the app. Have to clean out everything to get it to work for another use before it happens again. Have sent the developers an email about it and haven't heard a response. I understand it's a free app.

This app is well designed, easy to use, and helps you figure out areas you are struggling with. I feel pretty confident in my ability to pass the Ham exam with this app. Update: I passed my Technician level exam with flying colors. This app is definitely worth it! You need to take at least 20 practice tests but I took 40 practice exams and I still saw a couple of questions in the actual exam that didn't make it into the practice ones. I would recommend taking more than 20 practice tests.

Designed for efficient feedback targeted at weak areas . Opportunity to take as many practice tests as you like. Very well written explanations available whether you got a question wrong or you are just curious.
