Learning Malay with this app is really fun and easy. I cannot put 5 stars because there are a few glitches/bugs on Android. For example on the flashcards when I click for the next one, for a split second, you see the answer, which is really annoying. But all in all I really recommend this app. I practiced the first week with the free version and then went for the paid one. It's really worth it if you're serious about learning the language.

Not for beginners! Instead of explaining how a sentence is set up, they keep throwing new words at me. After quite several lessons I still don't know anything about the language. They say something and I click on the words they say, but still don't know words like I or You or And. I don't know what words go together. It might be fine for advanced speakers to improve but as an absolute beginner I'm totally lost, not learning. Drawing letters that I don't know what they are, just following lines.

using paid version. I have finished the beginner section of Latvian and my husband (native speaker) says the recordings actually sound like native speakers unlike an app I was using before. Once in a while they choose an odd word that apparently isn't common, but it's not bad. My big disappointment with the app is that the first two sections had grammar lessons (which sold me on pro), but none of the rest do. Kind of a bait and switch for a language so grammar-dependent.
