Windy.app - wind, waves and weather forecast app for surfers, kitesurfers, windsurfers, sailors, fishermen and other wind sports.

Overall with the features they offer, I really like the app, but: since now at least over a week (or even 2), they are running a promotion (50/70% off Pro) and I receive notifications about this approx 2-3times a day. I'm not interested in Pro and there's no way to turn these notifications off. I assummed maybe the recurring notifications are a bug but they come back even after reinstalling. It's getting more and more annoying and I'm about to uninstall and look for something else.

The GUI is nice, I tried the pro version on a friends phone but I wasn't even able to track current rain/clouds. It just showed a big, inaccurate blueish green blob in the size of a few hundred kilometers - no thunderstorm cells, no information where it rains heavily, just wind speed and the information that it could rain. Those results are available for free everywhere, doesn't make sense to pay for it. The german weather radar (for 3€) was way more accurate and told me where it rains exactly.

Good but needs an important improvement. In German cities for every city district different weather conditions exist. I can have one weather pattern in one place and just a Km away it's a different pattern. The app even though it's really one of the better ones, divides the city into geographical regions, and therefore finding what the weather is like in your city district is not possible. And it's gps option, for some strange reasons, doesn't find or have city districts listed.
