About this game

Advanced open-source Neogeo arcade and home system emulator based on Gngeo with a minimalist UI and a focus on low audio/video latency, supporting a wide variety of devices from the original Xperia Play to modern devices like the Nvidia Shield and Pixel phones.

Features include:
* Supports MAME 0.144 or newer sets (neogeo.zip needed for BIOS)
* Supports Universe Bios with direct editing of region and mode from app menu
* Configurable on-screen controls
* Bluetooth/USB gamepad & keyboard support compatible with any HID device recognized by the OS like Xbox and PS4 controllers

No ROMs are included with this app and must be supplied by the user. It supports Android's storage access framework for opening files on both internal and external storage (SD cards, USB drives, etc.).

Sweet! Thanks for the update man! I still have yet to try out any ROMs... What I'm really wanting is a Final Burn Alpha Emulator but from the best I can tell one is not being made anymore for Android. I know in the past (6 years ago) there was an emulator for FBA but it's history and bit the dust! 😞 sucks

Another great emulator from Robert Broglia. I dig that his whole suite has the same framework for the settings, which allow (but do not need) very in-depth tweaking. One of the best features is 'affinity control', you can choose which processor core will work the app. Works without problem and saves lots of battery time indeed, as NeoGeo emulation doesn't need your full flagship power. Simply choose one of the little cores and save money. All in all, very approachable and really good.

I was extremely hesitant to pay for this as I've been unable to get the neogeo.zip and assocaited rom set to work with the latest version of MAME (2.06). I ultimately just wanted to run Neo Geo on my android, where I have my Sega Genesis and SNES emulators, and I so I took a chance with this. I was really surprised to see that it worked immediately, all I had to do was transfer over the roms and most of them work. There are a few exceptions, maybe 30% of the ones I've tried so far don't work and result in some error indicating that some file is missing but most of them do. Growing up with the original Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Game Boy and SNES I always wanted to play games on Neo Geo but never could and the thing was extremely rare owing to how expensive it was. All I can say is WOW, if I had seen the quality of these titles when I was younger I would have been BLOWN completely away. This app works great, there is some slowdown with my phone, Samsung Galaxy S7, but that's to be par for the course with emulation. Maybe a brand new $800 Galaxy S9 or equivalent can run it but yeah, it's not that bad, and I'm not even sure it's not how the slow down was with the original Neo Geo

What’s new

* Add a rewind button to the stock top-left virtual controls and only the show the rewind button when rewind states are set in the system options
* Add Options -> Frame Timing -> Low Latency Mode to keep the emulation thread in sync with the renderer thread to prevent extra latency, turned on by default but trying turning off in case of performance issues
* Default to the screen's reported refresh rate as the output rate if the device supports multiple rates
