I'm finding Perplexity Computer even more capable than Claude. But the cost of tokens is getting higher and higher even a Max account is becoming quite restrictive and requires frequent top ups. Also dropping one star as the mobile app could be better. There is no tablet view and you can't access a lot of settings on the app, even changing the model in a chat is not always there. They could probably fix this in 30mins using their own AI so there is no excuse for this really :D

WARNING! I have had a Pro account for a couple of years and have had a great experience, until this... Now I'm told I've hit a "new" weekly limit for uploading files: 30 x 80kb and a 500kb PDF files. It's nothing, and I've barely used it in the past couple of weeks. And they refused to provide exact info on the limits, zero transparency. Working with AI is all about uploading and downloading files, basic information sharing is how it works. I'm paying to feel perplexed!

Zero transparency and random "you ran out of this our that weekly limit" even if you used the given service 3-4 times only. And this is on pro subscription! There are no official numbers before the limit kicks in and no track record of how many times you used the given service. All this to pay more for their more expensive subscriptions. My advice is to stay away from this shady company.
