I don't know how this has 4.7 stars, but this never works. Maybe it's because of the languages I'm trying to translate (Chinese and Japanese) but it ALWAYS auto-detects them as either German or French. Even when I manually input the languages, it still can't translate 99% of the stuff. I know it's not the source materials cuz I downloaded a different app (photo translate I think it's called) and it works pretty good, so it's this app.

Used to love when I first downloaded the app. I was able to see multiple word and sentence variations and the interface was easy to switch between languages. Within the last 2 updates (previously prompted for, now closes the app), I either get an error for option to show sentence variations or am only given one alternative, and you also have to highlight words/entire sentence to see these options. This can take too much time during live translation

Used it for a few months generally finding it quite good although speech to text is useless in my case, with very few words recognised. Since the last update, it keeps reporting that I'm offline, even when I can see that I'm not. It only says this after I type text. Clearing cache etc does no good, and it's not practical to do that when I'm out and need translation NOW. I can't keep on with this so I'll look for an alternative. It's a shame the dev doesn't bother with user feedback.
