To provide a service platform that contains agricultural information available to all, National Agricultural Research Center of Jordan in collaboration with FAO Jordan introduce the mobile application Ma’ Al Muzare’- NARC.
The application has five themes
1. Animal Husbandry: provides recommendations on good animal practices for ruminants, poultry and beekeeping, in addition to information about diseases control and vaccination schedules.
2. Weather & Crop Calendar: provides information on weather forecasts, crop calendars, sowing date and harvesting date. In addition to advices on good farming practices like irrigation, fertilization to improve products' quality and increase productivity.
3. Harvest & Postharvest: provides recommendations on harvest and post-harvest like packaging, storage and transportation, also provides information on post-harvest disorders.
4. AgriMarketplace: provides market prices for agricultural products, such as vegetables and fruits in the central market
5. Expert to Farmer Forum: allows farmers to connect with each other, and with experts from NARC, and to post questions, their successful stories, photos and get a response from another farmer or an answer from a recognized expert.
The content available in Arabic and English is presented in written texts, photos, videos and audio recordings.
After downloading the app, you can use it offline and review all content, except for prices and weather, since they are updated regularly.
