I started using Linguee at least 8 years ago. I like it a lot, but the app has always had some niggles for me. I notice some of them have been fixed, my current two niggles mostly driven by one-handed use: the "back" function isn't behaving as it should, so when using with one hand, I can't easily get back to the search box after looking up a word; and, it seems swiping is disabled when typing with Gboard? And: I'm getting offline-only results when I'm not specifically in online mode.

It's really amazing except for:. It's the only app I've ever seen that has no microphone ability to do voice to text or when swiping!!! This puts it way down on my usefulness scale. You have to literally type each word one letter at a time. And if you don't type in every apostrophe in contracted words, nothing will come up as a suggestion. Brutally inefficient

This app executes the basic functionalities you expect from it perfectly. It is a pure and wonderful tool. The offline dictionaries work well though they do take a little longer to load entries on my device than the online variants. I never feel the need to switch apps because there is honestly no annoying features bothering me with this one.
