Ratings and reviews

I've used the app for probably a year but the service seems to be going down hill. Downloading your audiobooks is very flakey with frequent stops and starts. I have also experienced the app jumping ahead or back in the book at times. This doesn't tend to happen during playing but if you pause the book and want to continue after there is a risk that this happens. It's intermittent but very annoying. Please make your service better I want to like it

it's almost as good as Kindle in terms of reading experience. The animations are a bit slow and hitchy, the dictionary is strangely hit or miss (couldn't find the definition for "puzzle", among many other common words) and progress counter only shows progress within a chapter, not the whole book. There are also no page format options for line spacing, margins and so on. For me, the biggest omission is the lack of continuous scrolling. That alone would bump it to four stars for me. Please dev.

Audio books can take forever to download, but the problems does not end there. When listening to audiobooks, the player can stop abruptly and your progress is lost. This is extremely annoying not only do you have to start the player again, but you have to carefully scrub forward to find the point you were at. Now I have experienced being unable to launch the app entirely. Is this service falling apart? This is the last time I purchase something from kobo.
