A thrilling text based adventure which gives plenty of options that contribute to its replayability. Unlike many other text based games, the entire game is free. Which is a big plus. I got several hours of playability and I will get several more. The characters are likeable, the plots are interesting and it has varying scenarios (which are also free). My only criticism is that the grammar and spelling isn't always correct, but nonetheless it is still completely playable.

I've played the game before and it was decently fun then, even with its grammar errors. However, it seems recently they've added in a little caveat that after each chapter you've got to wait at least 5 minutes then watch an ad to continue, unless you want to pay 7 bucks to go a little faster, yeah no, I'm good.

This game has a good concept and has the potential to be great. However, it's poorly written and full of grammatical errors making it seem unpolished. I imagine the developer was in a rush to release it. The RNG in the combat seems terrible (or I'm just extremely unlucky) - I've missed my attacks 5-6x in a row several times. It can make the most well-stat character lose simply because you can't land a hit whilst your opponent keeps damaging you.

What’s new

Fixed a bug (for real, this time) where the app could lose progress when the app goes into the background. If you enjoy "Life of a Mercenary", please leave us a written review. It really helps!
