Ratings and reviews

I've always loved the App. And it was worth the 5 stars I had rated it. Unfortunately since the layout was changed last year, I hardly open BBC App anymore. Truly dislike the new update. Not user friendly. Can't find the topics one is interested in etc. No search function! I'm extremely disappointed. Probably going to find another news App😢 November 2024: I've upped to 3 stars since the latest update improved on the previous unsuccessful one. But it's still not as great as it was ages ago

Still the best, truly objective and trusted news source in the world. This app, like most news apps, needs to be updated more often. The adds are not intrusive and the publicity videos not too long. However, there are now too many video reports, not easy to listen to in public spaces. Old fashion readable articles are preferred. Downgraded from 5 to 4 stars due to the excessive video reports!

The old app was much better. With this one, if you even glance at an ad, it pops open. But if you want to open a story, you have to bang on the screen. Quite often, when you are halfway through reading a story, the app zooms away from that, opens another story and then goes back to the original one. Maybe. It's very frustrating. Please remember the old adage: If it ain't broke don't fix it. You've broken it. The only reason I have not uninstalled is that I need my daily BBC news fix.
