It keeps switching between north and south with the same pole aimed at the phone. I tried where the arrow is and different places at the top of the phone, and at slightly different distances from the device, same thing. It's a small 1/4" x 1/2" N52 magnet. I aimed the pole straight at it, and it just gives twitchy, alternating results. Sometimes it works okay, but mostly not, not enough to know for sure if it's correct.

Does not work correctly. The results off this app are opposite of actual results. I know for a fact that my magnets are pointing South up because I checked with a compass. The tops attract the N side if the compass meaning it's a South Pole. Yet your app, says the opposite every time, on any magnet.

I just love it as it do what it say. I'm a Luthier and guitar technician and I use it to find the polarity of guitar and bass pickups and this app do it perfectly. I recommend this app to everyone who is busy with guitars and musical instruments pickups and in every case that you need to know a magnet polarity. This is a great and simple app
