Gema Surya FM is the first official radio station in Ponorogo Regency which was established on February 19, 1968. In its journey, Gema Surya has experienced many historic changes, starting from the frequency that was originally AM to FM, to various news broadcast formats. In its history, news has never been separated from Radio Gema Surya, until in 2018 Gema Surya has completely changed its format to become news radio.

With an inspiring and accurate slogan, Gema Surya FM presents a new program entitled "Explore" for the people of Ponorogo Regency and its surroundings. Jelajah is a real time news program that invites listeners to actively interact. With the new format and program Gema Surya FM, it is hoped that the people of Ponorogo can obtain information that is not only fast but accurate.

Apart from 94.20 Mhz FM, Gema Surya radio broadcasts can be accessed via live streaming on the gemasuryafm.com/live page. Meanwhile, to meet the public's need for digital information and content, Gema Surya FM is also present on various platforms such as Facebook, Youtube, and online news sites.
