About this app

This app can read and verify the embedded chip in passports and ID cards.

To read a passport:
1) Use the camera to scan the machine readable zone on the data page of your passport or the back of your ID
2) Hold the passport or ID against your device to read the biometric chip
3) The chip information is displayed in the app

The app does not require network connection and can be used offline.

What is the app used for? For businesses this technology is useful for remote onboarding of users and customers, identity verification, and to meet KYC and AML requirements. For compliance and security, nothing beats reading the biometric chip.

needed to check if the chip in my passport wasn't damaged due to rain. The app checked it immediately and it is also easy to navigate

Technically very simple and efficiently working app, works like a charm, amazing! My only concern is that I know almost nothing about the company to trust them with my ID documents, fingers crossed they won't leak them🤞 Maybe I am just too paranoid: app store says that it does not store or share, but it does take device IDs.. difficult to understand what that means. But it's google and not dev fault.
