Has been perfect until now, but won't open files after recent update (error messages indicating 'unrecognised format'). I tried restarting the phone, but it made no difference. UPDATE: I installed a different app which DID then open files correctly, however, I was now getting a prompt asking me choose which app to use. Out of interest I had a go with Letter Opener again - what do you know, it now worked again! I deleted the new programme and Letter Opener continues to work...

This is the first time I have come across Winmail.dat and trying to read files in RTF. I searched for an App that could enable me to open and read these types of files and came across this one. For my own personal use, this App does exactly what I want it too. It opens RTF files and allows me to read them. I cannot think of what else is expected of a file reader App!?? Maybe some of the people posting negative comments should go and look elsewhere??

This software does exactly what it claims. When you open an email on an android phone that has an attachment shown as winmail.dat, when you try to open the attachment, the email opens in a different format with a pdf download link at the bottom of the page. Just click on the download button and you will be able to open the attachment if you have a pdf reader on your phone. A great piece of software.
