The Ecofon application was developed by a Russian non-profit environmental organization - the ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION FUND - ECOFON and is available in Russian and English versions.
This is a simple and convenient tool that allows you to interact with authorities and solve specific environmental problems without filling out paper documents and searching for the necessary authorities.
To do this you need:
- register in the Application, indicating a minimum amount of personal data;
- create a request: take a photo of the incident, select the type and subtype of the violation, enter the necessary data and add a description of the violation.
Users are guaranteed confidentiality: after creating an appeal, all further work on it, including correspondence with authorities and, if necessary, filing a claim in court, the Foundation conducts on its own behalf, without disclosing the identity of the Application user.
On the Ecophone map you can see icons of requests, which are colored in different colors, depending on the amount of damage caused by the incident, which is automatically calculated by the Application based on the information entered by Eco-activists. The calculation is made in accordance with the Methodology specially developed by the Foundation and provides a preliminary assessment of damage to the environment. In addition, icons of sustainability projects are displayed on the map.
The application maintains a rating of users - environmental activists, who are assigned stars and statuses.
Information on the number of complaints and the amount of damage identified/claimed for compensation in a particular region, as well as on sustainable development projects in a given region, can be viewed in the Data by Region section.
Data on environmental incidents, including response measures taken by authorized authorities, as well as information on implemented sustainable development projects, will be taken into account when compiling the rating of ECOFON regions:
ECological Federal Open People's
In addition, the ESG rating of regions will be published annually in the Appendix, which represents the Fund’s opinion on the extent to which the decision-making process, ongoing and planned activities, as well as the management system itself are focused on sustainable development in environmental, social, economic and management spheres.
The Application also contains information about all events organized by the Foundation or its Partners.
