Cipriano Valera made the first revision of the Bible and its text served as the basis for many revisions that were made throughout the centuries and bear the name of Reina-Valera, thanks to its two creators.

This version of the Holy Scriptures is called the Bear Bible because of the illustration on its cover of a bear trying to reach a honeycomb hanging from a tree. This figure was used to avoid the use of religious symbols, since at that time the translations of the Bibles in other languages ​​were prohibited.
