Introducing the Acaia Updater App.

The new Acaia Updater app now combines the Pearl Model S, Lunar, Orion, and Cinco updaters through one seamless and clear interface. The app is easy to use and clear in its instructions. The original Pearl scale updater will be kept online as the Pearl scale connection is different from that of the Lunar and other models. We will update both apps as we release new firmware updates.

The Acaia Updater app will display and download all current firmware and information for the above models mentioned including firmware number and release notes. The Acaia Updater will replace the Pearl Model S Updater, Lunar Updater, Orion Updater, and Cinco Updater apps.

Lunar 2021 Just received this scale and I have to say that the user interface is buggy. The scale switches modes when I try to tare the weight and will get to a point where you can no longer change mode. So I thought... let's see if it needs to be updated. I could connect to the scale but, while the app said it was updating, nothing happened. And I still cannot get the scale to the mode I want. I am disappointed for spending so much money for something so buggy.

Confusing - not intuitive. I had to reset the device by Googling the instructions. For something as potentially problematic as a firmware update, they should really have these instructions displayed within the app. Additionally, I had to switch to another device to get this to work but really no clear reason why it did work. Lastly, they need to have both the old and the current firmware listed on the same page. Plus, they don't warn you if the firmware is already up-to-date.

The app works, even if it is a bit simple. I wish there was a bit more info in the app. I.e. allowing for flashing older firmware options. This would allow for a downgrade in firmware if bugs exist in the new one. Also, this is an app from Acai. Why would they put their rep on the line with sub-par apps. Most of the are trash. Oh, well. Here's to hope for future releases.
