Ratings and reviews

I've had Audius for a few years, both for my band and to discover new artists and it worked pretty well. But lately, music the content in the home page doesn't load (in the app and on laptop browsers) and it is impossible to collect earned $Audio. It's been like this for a couple weeks now. I'll increase my rating once it's usable again.

For a blockchain/digital native app, this doesn't work all that smoothly. Tracks don't always play, for one. Or, sometimes, tracks will keep playing even after I've tried to close it. Also, in terms of innovation for artists, I don't quite know how they make money in a way that is advantageous over traditional systems like Bandcamp. At least, not yet. Overall, it needs some extra fixes before it starts being a worthy app for casual music enthusiasts.

I love the Audius site more as a producer but as a listener the app is better. I assume it's the way the blockchain is set up but I can't post songs or even edit my songs through the app, which can be very annoying when I'm not at home but want to take something down or rename it. The website has a better system when it comes to that and even then the Blockchain will occasional drop an error out of no where because of too much traffic. Overall, I adore Audius but the app is purely for listening.
