Alright idle game, but appears to have been abandoned. Certainly don't spend any money on it and don't try to finish the unfinished endgame, but maybe it's worth a bit of time for some feel good brain chemicals. Edit: Came to it after a while to discover it does have cloud save, but not through Google. So all my progress (which had reached basically the very end) is gone. Take that into consideration too.

Was alright, I'd say it's 4 stars, but if you really enjoy idle games there's an great case to be made for 5 stars. I dropped it to 2 stars though because there are several hard caps in place, which you can reach in about 3 days, to prepare for the next update... which players have been waiting 2 years for. You're unable to unlock everything that is actually available because hard caps prevent you from acquiring the necessary amounts of resources to purchase them. 99.9% offline play.

There are many questions answered in the guide. Awesome instructions are given, no complaints. I really want to play and enjoy this game, but I'm colorblind. All the flasks look the same. Can you differentiate the flasks with numbers or symbols, or even have a colorblind mode? This is a game I would dive into, but, I can't because of the colors. I'll keep it installed, but will uninstall if I can no longer play/enjoy the game.

What’s new

I added a note in-game regarding where development is currently at.

To keep it short: I've been busy working on a new and improved Idle Research 2 (IR2). I have a goal of taking some of the designs from IR2 to make IR1 better in the long-term. IR1 is a great game in its' ways, but as I've become a better designer and developer in college, the more I think it's a premature game. So far with IR2, the design makes sense, it's fun and purposeful. I'm excited to create a pre-order page soon!
