About this app

Gustav Holst's famous orchestral suite "The Planets" (1916) has influenced generations of film music composers, because of its modern and radical tonal language. In a sequence of seven atmospheric pictures, Holst translates the individual planets or the myths associated with the planets into impressive music.

You can experience this opulent yet sophisticated work, played by the Munich Philharmonic, as an interactive audio walk in a park near you. All you need is a smartphone and headphones.

Get on a shuttle that will take you through space. You navigate it with your feet, walking.

Play an auditory treasure hunt that takes you from planet to planet via binaural 3D audio. Listen to the direction from which you hear speech and music and find your destination.

Immerse yourself in an immersive musical experience of the planets. You can freely move around and explore the immersive sound field of the orchestra.

Float on the music, through space, in the park near you.

The app is bilingual German/English. English is activated as soon as the phone system language is not set to German.
