Dig dug was my all time favorite game when I was 13. This was the atari 5200 version. Not bad graphically and perfect sound. Control wise and character play; no ghosts, rock breaks/drops, controls just awful. No speed up. Round ends no continue. (No dig dug start game (song/middle screen) / end game) fix the little stuff and I'd jump on this.

Wow this does suck. It's nothing like old dig dug, controls are somehow worse than the arcade version, and there is a severe lack of tricks that made the original so great. Monsters die in one hit so you can't stun them to gain high points by kiting them under rocks to squish them all, and above all you can't set traps using thin layers of dirt. I tried! How is it that nearly half a century later and we have a worse version of a game made with even more memory taken up than the original. How?

Just like the original, but too much so. You can't rotate the screen, and the controls are in just about the most awful locations, so they can't be used well. It's so frustrating because the game would be fun if you could control the little guy.
