About this app

Look to Speak is an Android app from Google which enables you to use your eyes to select a menu of phrases and pictures and have them spoken aloud. The app uses the front-facing camera to detect eye gaze gestures, processing the feed in real time using machine learning. When a significant gesture is detected, the app will trigger your intended action. All data is private and never leaves the device.

For me it is not working at all either on Android phone or tablet. On my phone it says "not able to detect eyes" while on tab only the snooze part is working. It's a nice idea for disabled people but seems like a lot of work needs to be done on this app. Please give option to users to debug the eye tracking. Also, please allow app to work in landscape mode (allow app rotation) as some tabs have camera installed in landscape mode.

I love the idea, and it's great to see people making an app that can benefit those who really need it. However, having tried this app, the tracking does not work at all. No matter the eye level. No matter the lighting. No matter the distance to my face. Looking one way or another does nothing at all. I've played with the settings. Unfortunately, nothing at all happens.

Need to be able to turn off snooze ability. App would work great if it didn't keep snoozing accidentally and reseting the phase choices. Frustrating for those trying to use it that can't speak themselves. Snooze activation area seems WAY more sensitive than the other areas. Samsung Galaxy S8+. Will update to 5 star if snooze is fixed. Thank you so much for trying to make this work.

What's new

The new text-free mode allows you to select a choice of emojis, symbols and photos to be spoken aloud - with no reading required. The update also includes the ability to store multiple phrasebooks and added support for Swahili.
